I Love My Karma!
This is a very small Hotspot that I keep in my purse. It’s wonderful. So, no matter where I am, if my phones network is slow, non existent or just acting funny, I can turn on my Karma and get reliable wifi.
The best thing about this one in particular is that if it’s in use, and other people connect they reward both of you with 100MB of free data. So, basically since June of 2014 I have not had to buy data. Sometimes if I will just turn it on in a crowd, even if I don’t need it, and rack up the data. You can download the app on your phone to see how much data you have available and track usage.
One unexpected cool feature of using Karma WiFi is that when you log in online, you can actually see the people who have connected. And if they have used their Facebook to login, you can see their profile. I have met people out not knowing their names and I’ve logged into Karma and saw that they connected with my Karma and I was able to connect with them again directly.
I’m not happy that they forced original Karma users to upgrade to the new KarmaGo which required a new purchase that set me back another $80 or so. And I’m also not thrilled about the reception indoors. A little lacking.
Right now you can get one for $99 which includes 1 GB of data. Additional data is pay as you go for $14/1 GB.
